Q&A - What Is The CCVI?
Share |

"What is the Canadian Code for Volunteer Involvement?"

The Canadian Code for Volunteer Involvement (CCVI) contains guiding principles, values and standards for how nonprofit organizations engage volunteers.

The CCVI is not legislation. It is a national code of conduct for organizations and a road map for professional volunteer management. Produced by Volunteer Canada in 2001, the current CCVI Standards include input from the Canadian Association of Volunteer Resources (CAVR).

An organization that adopts the CCVI is affirming that it agrees with its values and principles and will work toward implementing the standards.
