It’s National Volunteer Week!
Give Your Volunteers MORE!

We surveyed Toronto volunteers to find out what they like about volunteering and what could make their experiences better. So, what is it that volunteers want?
They want MORE! More work, more hours, more responsibility. If you think your volunteers might want to do more, consider signing up for our next workshop about Fighting Volunteer Boredom.

New Resource Guides & Workbooks!

Available now on the Volunteer Toronto website, these helpful guides feature worksheets, management ideas and techniques, brainstorming tools and informative guidelines on a variety of topics for volunteer managers and coordinators.

We have a new mini-workbook free for everyone with helpful resources on Group Volunteering:

And two new full-size workbooks available to all Subscribers:

You can also learn from our previously released workbooks, and be sure to stay tuned for many more resources to come throughout 2015!

The Legacy Awards Were A HUGE Success!

After asking you to tell us about your amazing volunteers—and receiving close to 100 nominations—we’re delighted to announce the Legacy Award winners of 2015! From hockey coaches to mentors to healthy eating advocates, the 25 recipients are a varied group and showcase the exceptional volunteer contributions happening in the city. They were presented with an award during a special ceremony on Monday, April 13th. Find out more about these secret superheroes!

ChangeTheWorld: Ontario Youth Volunteer Challenge 2015

From April 12 to May 24, ChangeTheWorld encourages high school youth ages 14-18 to volunteer three hours or more in their community. This is a perfect opportunity to recognize your youth volunteers with a certificate signed by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade (MCIIT) and Volunteer Toronto.
