Please join us in welcoming Vanesa Toledo-Castro to the Volunteer Toronto family as our new Community Engagement Coordinator! Vanesa will be assisting staff by coordinating signature events like the Legacy Awards, Becoming a Board Member sessions and Craft Your Change. The Fair will be from 1pm to 4pm on Wednesday March 23rd and will focus on organizations and seniors in the North York area. Join us for a chance to engage and recruit senior volunteers who want to share their time and experience with the right cause. The Grassroots Growth Project Launches Pilot Workshops

The first of the Grassroots Growth Project’s eight pilot workshops begin this month. Grassroots Governance: Building A Structure That Fits will cover mission and vision statements, developing a strategic plan, and different ways to organize and lead grassroots groups. It will also talk about building legitimacy, the pros and cons of traditional routes like incorporation and registering as a charity as well as other options to increase credibility. Register for Grassroots Governance on February 23rd (Volunteer Toronto) or February 27th (Fairview Library).
