Communicating Volunteer Impact Through Recognition and Evaluation (CCVI 13 & 14)

Thursday, November 20, 2014

Understanding and communicating the impact of your volunteers is crucial to increase volunteer satisfaction, improve program outcomes, and promote your volunteer program in your organization and your community. This workshop will explore how telling volunteers about the impact of their work can bolster recognition events and reinforce performance evaluation, and how you can evaluate volunteer engagement to boost volunteer impact and spark program growth.

Join us for the final workshop in our CCVI series to learn how to use recognition and evaluation as strategies to help you understand, communicate and increase the impact of your volunteers.

Trailblazer Series:
Engaging The Media

Tuesday, December 20, 2014

Volunteer Toronto's Trailblazer Series is a set of leadership talks for people who manage volunteer-run non-profit organizations and groups in Toronto. The talks provide an opportunity for local leaders to hear from peers and experts on how to overcome common challenges faced by organizations with no paid staff and limited resources.

Engaging The Media
As an up and coming non-profit, it can be difficult to get your organization's name out there and raise awareness for the great work your organization does. Reaching out to the media is one way of promoting your organization, and if done successfully can create great publicity for your cause.

The talks are free of charge and advance registration is required.

How Leadership Volunteers Can Transform Your Organization (Volunteer Talk)

Wednesday, November 26, 2014

As a Volunteer Manager, you know that volunteers have a wealth of knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm to contribute to your organization. When given the chance to apply those qualities to a leadership role, they can inspire change, spark growth, and transform your organization.

Join us to ask your questions, share your experiences and learn from your colleagues in a discussion about leadership roles for volunteers.

Holiday Volunteers

This is just a reminder to post your holiday volunteer opportunities ASAP.

This is the time many potential volunteers and corporate groups are looking to give back so don't miss this opportunity!

If you are interested in receiving corporate groups at your organization then email Melina Condren to be put on our list.

Toronto Snapshot Survey

What's it like to be a volunteer manager in Toronto?

We want to hear from you to learn about your program, the challenges you face, and the way you engage volunteers!

Filling out our survey will only take 10 minutes, and it will keep us up to date on the state of the voluntary sector in Toronto so that we can provide you with the best possible support.

We want to hear from your volunteers too! We're asking volunteers, and aspiring volunteers, to give us some information about their experiences with volunteerism in Toronto. Ask them to fill out survey as well!
