We’re excited to announce the March of Dimes Canada is our newest discount partner! March of Dimes offers a wide range of services to people with physical disabilities and has been an advocate for the independence, empowerment, and inclusion of people with disabilities for over 60 years.

Volunteer Toronto’s Full Subscribers will now receive a 40% discount on mediation, arbitration and conflict resolution services from the March of Dimes Canada. They specialize in mediation and conflict resolution involving seniors and those with disabilities, caregiver and client relationships, family disputes with service providers and disability-related issues in the workplace.

If your organization is looking for volunteers who are passionate about issues such as climate change, pollution, and environmental health, here’s a category for you!

“Environmental positions” is now included in our list of posting categories. Just remember, categories describe the position volunteers will be applying for, not the organization they will be applying to. Know an Exceptional Student Volunteer? Nominate Them for a Loran Award!

The Loran Scholars Foundation will be granting 110 national university scholarships to Grade 12 students who show character, a sustained commitment to community service and outstanding leadership potential. Thirty of these scholarships are valued at up to $100,000 each over four years, including mentorship and a summer program. You can help recognize student volunteers by encouraging them to apply for the Loran Awards. School-sponsored applications are due October 21, and direct pool applications (without school sponsorship) are due October 28.
