Dr. Jim Sugiyama
Volunteer with  CultureLink and recipient of 2016 Legacy Award.

"We need to create a fairer, more inclusive and less difficult entrance system into which to accept international graduates into the medical system with greater odds of success. I know we are addressing, at least, one of these barriers by providing newcomer professionals with robust Canadian experience through our mentorship program."

ChangeTheWorld Banner

Last year, over 3000 youth took part in ChangeTheWorld. You can help us surpass that number!

ChangeTheWorld: Ontario Youth Volunteer Challenge is a six-week campaign between April 10th – May 23rd to encourage youth to volunteer and recognize them for doing so. If you are:

- A high school student
- Living in Toronto
- Volunteering 3 hours or more between April 10th – May 23rd

Youth meeting this criteria can request a certificate from the Ministry of Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade and Volunteer Toronto as recognition of your volunteering.

And if you’re interested in volunteering but are not sure how you can get involved, check out our ChangeTheWorld webpage which has a list of upcoming events to volunteer at, or alternatively visit www.volunteertoronto.ca/opportunities and search by Category “1. Suitable for Youth 14-17” for volunteer roles for high school students.

Questions? Contact us at info@volunteertoronto.ca!
