Learning About Volunteering

Are you interested in volunteering? Do you want to learn more about what volunteering is? How to get started? And what the benefits are? This is the workshop for you. Learn more about the who, what, when, where and how of volunteering and hear from people who currently volunteer!


Learning About Volunteering - Volunteer Panel

Monday, March 13 from 6PM-7:30PM, Midtown Toronto

Want to learn more about volunteering from people who currently volunteer? Get your questions answered? Come to our panel to hear directly from three out-standing volunteers about what they do and why they volunteer. Listen as our panelists Alysha TryDave D'Oyen and Ambreen Ahmed explain how they got involved and what they enjoy about volunteering.  


6 Ways Volunteering Can Help Find Work

Monday, March 20 from 6PM-7:30PM, Downtown Toronto

Looking for work can be tough! Volunteering is a way to help you gain skills and experience for the job market. It also allows you to try out new things, network with people and have fun!  This 1.5 hour interactive session will focus on the who, what, when, where and how of volunteering and 6 ways volunteering can help you when looking for work.

Are you hearing suggestions that you should volunteer but aren't sure how to start? Do you want to learn more about the benefits of volunteering? Would you like to feel more settled in Canada or learn English? This information session is for you! This is the workshop for you. Learn more about the who, what, when, where and how of volunteering and hear from people who currently volunteer!

Are you an experienced professional interested in volunteering in a leadership role? Volunteering as a non-profit board member may be the role for you. Come to one of our upcoming workshops to find out what's involved and have all your questions answered.

If you are interested in volunteering and need some help, please contact us! We can answer all your questions and suggest volunteer opportunities that are right for you.

You can either:

  • Book an appointment to have a one-on-one session to speak to a Referral Counsellor where they provide suggestions, tips and information on volunteering in Toronto. Please note that a Referral Counsellor will not match you with a volunteer opportunity, but will instead provide suggestions of positions for you to apply for. You can arrange for a Counsellor to call you, or you can schedule an appointment where you visit our office to speak with a Counsellor
