If you request police checks from volunteers you need to know about the human rights implications, the impact of new changes to police check legislation and how the Bona Fide Occupational Requirement impacts your requests. In this workshop, we'll explore the Ontario Human Rights Code, your organizational obligations when requesting police checks and the processes in place to ensure everything goes smoothly for you and the volunteer. Plus, learn about the former Bill 113 and its impact on police checks effective November 1st, 2018. You will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the session.

Coffee, tea and light refreshments will be provided.
