How can you gain skills and experience? At the same time be part of your community. Come to this 1 hour interactive workshop that will cover who,why, what, where, and how of volunteering.Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

This 1.5 hour interactive workshop will cover:

  • How do I find a volunteer position?
  • What is the time commitment?
  • How to use Volunteer Toronto's website?
  • How can I gain skills from a volunteer opportunity?
  • What are the benefits of volunteering?
  • What is the application process?
  • What to expect when applying?
  • How do I highlight volunteering on my resume?

The session will be led by Venus Pak, Community Engagement Assistant at Volunteer Toronto, who has volunteer experience that she will share with the audience.

 

Date: Tuesday, August 14 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

Location: Volunteer Toronto Office, room 404

                344 Bloor Street West, Toronto, M5S 3A7

                At the intersection of Spadina and Bloor.

Cost: Free

This workshop is taking place in a wheelchair accessible space with access to the washroom. We look forward to seeing you there!
