New Volunteer Posting Category: Holiday Positions

With the biggest holiday season of the year around the corner, we thought it appropriate to add “Holiday Positions” to our ever-growing list of Categories.

Holidays are often a time of celebration, but also a time of giving. Whether it’s Christmas or Rosh Hashanah, Summer Vacation or Spring Break, there are always volunteers looking for the opportunity to share their time and talents with others. To help volunteers find the positions they’re looking for, add this Category to your holiday postings along with any other Categories that best describe the role.

1000 Youth Attend Volunteer Toronto's Youth Expo

1000 YouthOn Saturday, October 24th, over 1,000 high school students came to the Volunteer Toronto Youth Expo to find volunteer opportunities. 72 of our subscriber organizations attended to recruit youth volunteers and one of the exhibitors described the event as “A great opportunity for lots of exposure. Over 100 students signed up with us!”

The event was a huge success and is sure to be repeated next year! Click here to see photos of the Expo in action.
