  The Redwood’s Vision
The Redwood envisions a socially just world where systems of racism and oppression are eliminated and all women and children are free from all forms of violence.

The Redwood’s Mission
The Redwood exists to support women and their children to live free from domestic abuse by providing safe, accessible services that will help them reach their goals. We operate within an anti-racist anti-oppressive framework and are committed to social change through education and action.

Core Values
The Redwood is guided in its actions by a set of core values. At the centre of these values is the right of all women and children to live free from all forms of violence and abuse.

Every woman has the right to agency and self-determination. The women we serve establish the direction of their lives and the lives of their children. We provide services and opportunities that will help them reach their goals.

Anti-Racism and Anti-Oppression
We operate within an Anti-Racism Anti-Oppression framework. We seek to reduce and remove barriers within our organization and in our communities.

Social Justice
We act as allies for social change with the women and children we serve and engage in systemic and community based education and advocacy. We are aware that our actions have an effect individually, locally and globally.

Transformation and Accountability
We value on-going self-reflection, innovation and transformation. We foster growth and development. We set goals, evaluate our results, and measure our effectiveness and impact.

Partnership and Collaboration
We engage with diverse partners to fulfill our mission and vision. We aim for joint participation, shared goals and mutual accountability, and value the sharing of knowledge.
