Description & Details

TreeMobile is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run project organized by Transition Toronto and Transition Guelph, two local groups of volunteers dedicated to supporting and nurturing the growth of a more resilient city.

Join us this April and May to help bring climate-appropriate fruit trees and plants to the people of Toronto and Guelph!  Here’s how it works:  local residents purchase affordable fruit trees and plants from us and our volunteer team helps deliver and plant the trees/plants in April and May.  Help us empower people to achieve food security by growing their own food and make seasonal organics locally accessible!

Volunteers are needed to help us with this fun project!

We have 2 types of positions available:

1.    Sorting plants the day before the planting day

2.    Delivering and planting trees on planting day

These are the dates:

Sunday, April 28  - Toronto

Sunday, May 5 -Toronto

Saturday May 11 - Guelph

Sunday May 12 - Guelph

Please visit our website for details on the volunteer options for each day.

Benefits to volunteering with TreeMobile include:

Meeting new friends who share an interest in the environment, gardening, food security and community building

Spending a wonderful spring weekend outdoors

Making a difference - knowing that with proper care, the trees will grow into carbon-storing, food-providing, beautiful beings

Enjoying a TreeMobile-supplied lunch after the planting is done

Please note, volunteers must be 16 years of age or older
