Description & Details

Are you looking for a volunteer position where you can use your people skills and passion for your community to help people on their journey? The Volunteer Advisor program is expanding and may be the volunteer opportunity for you!

Volunteer Toronto is a charity that connects people to volunteer opportunities in the city. We’re the first place that many people go to when they decide to volunteer. Our website is updated daily by 600+ non-profits who are actively looking for volunteers.

As well as being a connector, we support the non-profit sector by providing advice and training to non-profits to ensure they are able to work well with the volunteers they have. We are champions of volunteering!

Role and Responsibilities:

This role involves being the first point of contact when members of the public reach out to us for information on how and where to volunteer. You’ll talk to them about their interests and passions, show them how to use our website and suggest volunteer roles to apply for based on your discussion. You will also prepare clients on what to expect from the non-profits they apply to such as interviews, reference checks and training.

You'll engage with people over the phone, through email and in person. This role requires someone who can multi-task and adapt quickly.
