The Role

The Corporate Volunteering Coordinator oversees Volunteer Toronto’s group volunteering program. They act as the link between corporate teams, Volunteer Toronto and our network of non-profits. Currently the group volunteering program is quite small and runs on a referral system. There is potential with this position to grow in several directions depending on the creativity and passions of the Corporate Volunteering Coordinator. This position will be managed by the Non-Profit Engagement Coordinator and supported by the rest of the Organizations Team.


  • Respond to requests from corporate groups and connect them to appropriate volunteer opportunities
  • Manage referral list of non-profits that support group volunteer opportunities
  • Track corporate volunteering activity and explore potential areas to expand program


  • Passion for volunteering and alignment with Volunteer Toronto’s mission, vision and values. For example we are looking for someone who can:

·         Skills/Experience that may help you excel in this position:

o    Microsoft Office and other data management tools

o    Relationship building (private sector, non-profit sector)

o    Project management

o    Program design

o    Research and writing


  • Be a project lead in a creative and collaborative environment
  • Gain valuable administrative and service promotion experience
  • Become more familiar with corporate volunteering, corporate social responsibility programs and   Toronto’s non-profit sector
  • TTC Tokens provided if necessary

Orientation & Training:

A one-on-one orientation and training session will be provided in-person at Volunteer Toronto’s Eastern office (2425 Ellington Avenue East, Suite 214).

Time Commitment:

This position requires a commitment of max 5 hours per week. This may grow as the position develops but that will only happen in collaboration with Corporate Volunteering Coordinator.


Volunteer Toronto’s office is located at Kennedy and Eglington (2425 Ellington Avenue East, Suite 214). We are located in an accessible building (elevators and a washroom that can accommodate mobility devices are available).

This role can be done remotely once on-boarding process has been completed.
