Volunteer Toronto is in an exciting chapter of its long history in this city.

Change is in the air and we wanted to share a few updates with you:

  • We know that our city’s demographics and social issues are in flux. As a result, we are moving ahead in welcoming more young people and newcomers seeking volunteer work as an entry into the job market, and more and more capable and energetic new retirees wanting to give back after a long career.
  • On April 9th we welcomed over 450 people to our newly restructured National Volunteer Week celebration where we highlighted the amazing work done by 1.6 million volunteers within 13,000 non-profits, across Toronto.
  • Planning has begun for our fall Youth Expo that brings together high school students with non-profits for a day of learning and information exchange.

Additionally, we're moving!

Our offices have been at the corner of Bloor and Spadina for more than 45 years. But a condo is slated to be built here, and downtown rents are nearly impossible for a non-profit who wants to spend its resources on services.

As a result, we’re moving! Effective May 1, 2019, Volunteer Toronto will now operate out of two locations across the city making our services more accessible than ever:

 Volunteer Toronto Central-West
721 Bloor Street West, Suite 202
Toronto, ON, M6G 1L5
*at Christie subway station
Volunteer Toronto East
2425 Eglinton Avenue East, Suite 214
Scarborough, ON, M1K 5G8
*at Kennedy subway station

The Volunteer Toronto office will be closed from Monday, April 29 - Friday, May 3 as we complete the move. Services will be back up to full swing the following week.

Volunteer Toronto is Canada’s largest volunteer centre with over 40 years of experience connecting volunteers to the organizations that need them. Our services empower local volunteers to find opportunities that make a positive difference in their community. Through in-person and online training, we also educate and help non-profit organizations and community groups run successful volunteer programs.
