Information Sessions

These information sessions are for people interested in learning more about volunteering. They are free to attend and open to anyone. Volunteer Toronto offers two ongoing sessions at a variety of locations across Toronto. Led by our friendly and enthusiastic Volunteer Ambassador, each session covers the what, where and how of volunteering.

6 Ways Volunteering Supports Job Search

Volunteering is a great way to help you gain skills and experience for the job-market. It also allows you to try out new things, meet new people and have some fun.This interactive hour and half session will focus on the benefits of volunteering and six ways volunteering can help you find a job.

Volunteering As a Newcomer

Are you new to Canada and want to learn more about volunteering? This information session will focus on the benefits of becoming a volunteer along with a clear overview of how to get started.

Are you an experienced professional interested in volunteering in a leadership role? Volunteering as a non-profit board member may be the role for you. Come to one of our upcoming workshops to find out what's involved and have all your questions answered.

Are you a new member of a non-profit organization's Board of Directors? This training series will teach you everything you need to know to be a great Board member across five sessions, coming in September 2019.
