Volunteer Engagement in Unionized Environments Registration fee: $50 (Free for Paid Subscribers) If your organization is a unionized environment, volunteers may play a specific role in the Collective Bargaining Agreement(s) in place. In this 90-minute, interactive session, we'll take a look at labour practices and how they connect with volunteer engagement and unions. The session will explore the intersection of volunteers, volunteer engagement professionals, and union member staff, along with understanding the language and implication of Collective Bargaining Agreements. We'll also look at real-life dilemmas and case studies to help you navigate challenges and opportunities at your organization. You'll leave this 90-minute webinar with: - A history of volunteer engagement in unionized environments, and impacts on today's workplaces
- An understanding of unpaid labour, decent work, and the connection with unions
- Tools for effective and beneficial communication with union locals
- Tips to understand and properly abide by Collective Bargaining Agreements in place

Registration & Cancellation Policy Registrations are accepted at the discretion of Volunteer Toronto. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received within 48 hours of an event. Registration can be transferred to another member of your organization. Written notice must be received more than 48 hours prior to the event date in order to receive a refund. Please send your written cancellation to Sammy Feilchenfeld at sfeilchenfeld@volunteertoronto.ca. Registered participants who fail to attend an event will be invoiced for the full fee, due 30 days from the date of the invoice.
